1st Dr.'s appointment - 8 weeks

We had our 1st Dr.'s appointment yesterday. It seems so long since I've been pregnant, so it was kind of weird being there again. I don't like Dr. visits, but yesterday was pretty easy, where the most unpleasant thing was being weighed, especially when I learned there is a 4 lb. difference from our scale at home :(
I have been having these crazy dreams lately that there were two little babies in my belly. I told Tim about them, so then that got him excited because he wants twin girls. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I would go crazy with two little babies at once. So I was anxious to find out exactly how many little babes there were in there.
Thankfully... there is one in there. One amazing little creation. It just doesn't seem real until you see that little fluttering heartbeat. UGH.. and then  you hear it and the sound just brings tears to your eyes. The heartbeat was high 169, and everything looks perfect so far! Baby is due November 3rd. Tim has asked that I hold it in until the 5th so it can be born on his birthday. I said, I will try honey. Doesn't look like we will be able to see if it is a boy or a girl until June. Here is a picture of our little cutie!

Baby # 3!!!!

Ok, it's really time for me to keep this thing up to date! So hopefully being pregnant will help me do that :) Yep that's right we are expecting baby #3!!! We found out a couple of weeks ago. At first I wanted to kind of keep it on the down low for a while, just have it be Tim and I that knew, kind of our little secret. But that didn't last long. You see for some reason I have a REAL problem with keeping surprises, gifts, basically any kind of exciting news to myself. So the night we found out Tim was on the phone with his dad, we were both sitting in the office, and he turned to look at me, I had this huge smile on my face and he knew exactly what I was thinking.

Tim:  You want to tell my dad don't you?? You are horrible Danielle! We just said we weren't going to tell anyone like 5 min. ago!

So it was Tim's dad and mom, then my sister Shelbey, then my mom, grandma, other brothers and sisters, select friends, visiting teachers, and then not even two weeks later posted on Facebook!! Then I got to thinking... why would I want to keep such exciting news a secret?? I've been waiting for this baby for a while. It took a while for Tim to get on board with this whole having another baby thing.  So I have my 1st Dr.'s appointment at the end of the month to find out for sure when this little one will be joining our family. I'm thinking end of October or beginning of November.
The boys are so excited. Bowen is sure it's a girl. He was telling everyone at church on Sunday that it was a girl. :) We just keep telling ourselves it's a girl, nothing wrong with having a little faith right?? Either way we are just hoping for a healthy happy little baby! We couldn't be more excited!!!

Halloween 2011

For Halloween Bowen and Kyler were Batman and Robin. It was pretty adorable!!! We went to Boo at the zoo, and they got to see all the animals and get lots of treats. Then we headed to Nana and Papa's for some pumpkin carving.

Jackson Hole & Yellowstone 2011

I really don't know why I do this to myself. I wait forever to update this blog... On that note I'm starting with our annual trip to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, yes way back at the end of September of last year. We all really look forward to this trip. It is so nice to be among the beauty of the mountains, trees, waterfalls, and animals of
Yellowstone. We love to look for animals especially elk, moose, and bear. We had high
hopes that we would find LOTS of animals. This year we really didn't see much other than buffalo. We even went clear to Lamar Valley, the place where Tim and his dad once saw a bear take down two elk!! We parked the truck and waited a good 2 hours, looking real close with our binoculars... we did not see ANYTHING! We still had a great time. We are so
blessed to have such well behaved boys, who are so good on trips, makes the time spend together that much more enjoyable!
After we were done in Yellowstone we headed to Jackson Hole. We go every year for October conference with Tim's family. This year we rented a house instead of the usual condo, we had a lot more room for the kids to play. It's a great time for the adults to hang out and play games, and we always eat WAY too much! The kids love getting to play with their cousins. This year we went to the Jackson Hole museum, it was a good thing too. We saw more animals there than we did the entire trip. They were stuffed of course but at least the kids got to see SOME animals. :)

My Baby Boy... the Safari Explorer

I am in LOVE with these pictures!!! My sister-in-law took these pictures for Kyler's 3rd birthday. She does creative sessions. She finds something the client is really interested in and creates a photo session tailored to their interests. Well my little guy is obsessed with animals. Mainly elephants, giraffes, tigers, hippos, and lions. So with that she came up with the cutest idea. We loaded up the boys' power wheel jeep, and headed for the hills. He was so good, and she was able to get some ADORABLE pics! I loved the whole idea: khaki shorts, white button up, those pulled up white socks, and that hat!! He looked so dang cute!! I"m so happy to have such a talented creative sister-in-law to get these precious moments on camera for me. I Have a Kid in Kindergarten!

Here he is! Bowen on his first day of kindergarten! I can't believe it! He is growing up so fast, makes me feel old, and makes me sad at times. I wish I could just make time freeze right now. My boys are so great. I'm so lucky to have such good kids. Don't get me wrong we definitely have our moments of craziness around here but I wouldn't change any of it. I"m excited to watch Bowen learn this year. Excited to help him with homework, help him learn to read, and just watch him enjoy kindergarten. I love that I can just walk him to school, watch him line up with all of his friends in his class. He has told me many times, "Mom, I love my teacher and I love school." That makes it a little easier for me knowing that he is having fun and doesn't miss me at all :) I hope he continues to love school, even when it starts to get tough. I love this kid so much and am so happy he is mine!
