We are so happy the house is finally done!! Looks so much better than it did before but still a work in progress. Next hopefully soon we will be able to put some stone on the front. We also bought a swing set for the boys. My grandma got Kyler a baby swing, I think he likes it.

What's Been Going On...

This is going to be long...

I have been the worst little blogger lately!! What's worse is that I just constantly wait for others to update theirs, kinda selfish. Well since last month we almost lost Bowen, have done some home improvements, went to the zoo, had a water fight, and went to Utah. We have been busy to say the least. :) I'll start with the story of almost losing Bowen. It was a nice but of course windy day, I decided I wanted to go for a walk outside instead of the treadmill. I told Tim I was leaving, and that Bowen was out of his room (because the dang kid will NOT take naps anymore) and he was watching Nemo. Well Bowen is smart and knows how to unlock and open our front windows, he saw me walking away and was yelling Mommy! I figured he would stop and just continue watching Nemo, I was wrong. He ended up kicking out the screen and hopping out the window!!!! I didn't get him dressed because we just stayed home that day, so he was in just a t-shirt and undies. Tim didn't hear him do any of this and didn't think to check on him until our dog was whining at the window. He searched the house and... no Bowen anywhere so he went outside was about to call the police when he saw our neighbor walking him back to our house. How embarrassing, she was probably thinking... geeze nice parents!! It was the worst day of Tim's life!! I say Tim because I wasn't home to go through the fear of WHERE IS MY KID? I felt so bad for him because I have not experienced that yet, hope I never do!! Bad thing is he did it again the very next day, this time of course we caught him in the act, and lets just say he was in BIG trouble!! We have since moved the living room around so the couch isn't by the window. Let's hope he just stays in the house!! Next, our home improvements. We have always wanted to get the house sided since we bought it 2 yrs ago. We finally decided to do it, and I absolutely LOVE it!! They are finishing it as I am writing this and it should be all done today so I will post pics later. We also put a metal roof on, suppose to be more energy efficient and we will get a rebate on it later :) I am also decorating my kitchen, I got the border yesterday so now I can go get the paint and bead board, I'll post pics when I'm done. My sisters came home for Memorial Day and we took the kiddos to the zoo. It was HOT but a lot of fun. The kids favorite seemed to be the lions, tigers, monkeys, and snakes. We had a picnic when we were done and the kids played on the GINORMOUS toy at Tauphus Park. We went to Utah because Tim's nephew Cade was being baptized. It was our first trip with the boys staying all together in a hotel. It was fun, but full of problems like every vacation has. We wanted to go to Park City to go shopping, but after nearly 4 hours of being in the car, the children were not having it!! So just to tell ya how bad it was, I only spent $16!! We had so much fun at the BBQ/Birthday party for Cade and Steve after. It was so hot so Cyndee had planned for water balloons and squirt guns at the party. Tim and James got me all wet, but the funny thing was Tim got a cupcake shoved in his face! Then he came and wiped it on my face. We had a blast!Kyler is still just crawling away. He is starting to pull himself up on things but no signs of walking which is totally fine with me!! Well there is my update I will try to be better!

My Boys

Here are some recent pics of the boys. Kyler is now 9 months and crawling everywhere. He just seems to get more fun as time goes on. He is usually such a good baby too. Bowen is a very good big brother and helps mom out a lot. Nothing too exciting has been going on lately just have been plugging along waiting for the weather too finally get nice and stop teasing us. We did get Bowen a swing set and after a very long week for Tim, got it all set up. He loves it!! Post pics later.

PLAYIN' THE BIG BROTHER ROLE

Bowen was playing with his toys downstairs like normal, when all of a sudden he brought up his Lego wagon, put a blanket in it and then asked me to put Kyler in it. At first I was a little apprehensive, but Tim said do it, it will be fun. So here is what happened...

Since the weather was a few days this week, we wasted no time in getting outside!! We planted three more trees in the backyard and got the garden ready for planting. We are really hoping things turn out better than last year and we get more than just thousands of cucumbers.

Well Kyler is now 8 months old and is starting to get a real cute personality. He loves to copy everything you do right now, especially spit. He is scooting around everywhere and occasionally will get on all fours and rock back and forth. He loves baby food which causes us to have to go to the store more often, which I love :(

Bowen's imagination is growing and getting interesting. I guess one night when Tim ran to the store for me, he took Bowen with him and as they were driving Bowen says all of a sudden... "Dad! I have an idea" he never said what his idea was, but I still thought that was cute. He is at times such a good helper to me. He is getting so big and it makes me sad.

Here are some other pics of Kyler, he is getting big too! Tim joked and said maybe it's time to try for a girl, I just asked him if he was CRAZY?!? Our little girl will have to wait, for a LONG while. :)

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO US!

I'm extremely late posting this but I still wanted to write a little bit about it. Last week Tim and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in Las Vegas. The actual day is March 13th. We had such a good time but were glad to get home and squeeze our boys! We left Sunday the 15th and came home on the 20th. Our flight was delayed leaving Idaho Falls, we were suppose to land in Vegas at about 7PM, and we didn't get to our room until 2 AM Monday morning! We slept in Monday until about 11 AM and just were lazy pretty much all day. Tuesday we got to visit with my cousin at dinner and meet his new baby Chloe! She sure is a cutie! Wednesday we walked the strip, did some shopping at the outlets and built a bear for Kyler. We had dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise and went to see Terry Fator, he is the guy who is a ventriloquist and won America's Got Talent a couple of years ago. He is so talented and it was a great show!!After the show we did some more walking, and went into the Wynn, I guess an upper scale hotel, we just happened to walk into one of the shops there, I found a bra that was pretty cute, go to look at the price tag and couldn't believe it, $230!! FOR A BRA?!? Seriously, who would pay over $40 for a bra?? Just kind of surprised me.

Thursday was another fun day, we did some more walking and went to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then to Cirque du Soleil's Ka at the MGM. Another great show!!

Friday came it seemed all too quickly. We had such a good time alone together, much needed! I have the best husband! He is so hardworking at everything he does, whether it is providing for our family, being a good dad, having fun, or keeping things new and interesting around here. I am very lucky! Here is to many many more years of fun and love! :)

BOB THAT HEAD TOUR 2009!! To say I LOVE Rascal Flatts would be quite an understatement! They are my absolute favorite band of all time!! :) My mom and I have been listening to 105.5 The Hawk trying to win tickets since the beginning of February, we played in all the contests like trying to figure out their songs played backwards, and I even attempted to win the ULTIMATE prize two tickets, two backstage passes and hotel stay by submitting me and Tim's love story in 105 words or less :) Just when I was about to give up, and accept that I wasn't going to be able to go... I turned on the radio Tuesday morning and turns out they had two more pair of tickets to give away... so I tried again and I can't believe it but I FINALLY won!!! I was sooooo excited, not only could we go to the concert but my sister and her husband were also going so we got to see them too!!!

We had so much fun, first we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, oh my goodness, could possibly be my new favorite restaurant!!! Very YUMMY! Then we headed to the concert. Opening act was Jessica Simpson, she was soooo good! And she is not fat!!! Don't know why people are saying that?? Then Rascal Flatts came on, seemed like they played forever, it was great!
