Best Week Ever!!

This past week I had soooo much fun! Starting with last Monday I got to go to dinner with my friends Nicki, Julie, and Shaunie and then we met Misty at the Lady Antebellum concert here in Idaho Falls. I hope they all had as much fun as I did. I LOVE Lady Antebellum and the concert was so good, I didn't want them to stop playing! I tried to take some pictures but it was too dark and they didn't come out, but Julie was able to at least get one of us all after the concert :)
Then on Wednesday Tim and I left for Salt Lake by ourselves, the first time since last March! We love our little boys but a little alone time is sometimes needed! We had so much fun, on Wednesday we went shopping at The Gateway Mall and went to Applebees for dinner. Then we went to the opening season game for The Jazz! On Thursday we left Salt Lake and headed to Park City for some Christmas shopping, I LOVE shopping at the Park City outlets!! Mostly for the baby and kid clothes, they have such good deals there!
Then Friday (Halloween) finally came, I couldn't wait to dress Bowen and Kyler up. Bowen was a cowboy and Kyler was his horse :) My sister and her family came from Boise to visit so Bowen got to see his cousins Dallas and Addi! Dallas was a monkey and Addi was his banana :) We went to Grandma Searle's to carve pumpkins, the boys wanted to play in Grandpa's sawdust instead.

Shelb had a hard time getting the top off of her pumpkin, here are some pics to prove it. :)

Just getting started

Probably after 15 minutes, still can't get it off!! Finally getting the dang top off, maybe after working on it for 30 minutes :) I love ya Shelb! Our finished pumpkins I didn't mean for the pic to turn out like this but it looks pretty cool huh?

After a really long day!

We didn't end up going trick or treating because the boys were very grumpy and didn't really even want their costumes on. So we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Brendle then came home and went to bed. We will try again next year :)

LADY ANTEBELLUM!!

Hey all you busy tired moms out there, I have an idea. I know I can't be the only person who LOVES these guys! Anyway, they are going to be in concert on Monday October 27th in Idaho Falls at the Colonial Theatre. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds actually go to the Idaho Meth Project. I really want to go, my husband has no interest in going, my sister can't come from Boise until Halloween, and ... well did I mention that I really want to go??? I thought maybe I could find some of my blog friends that would be interested in going, it would be fun to have a girls night, go out to dinner and then go to this concert. Any takers??? I may end up going by my lonesome but I thought I would at least ask. :)

ANNUAL BRENDLE JACKSON HOLE TRIP

JACKSON HOLE 2008

This weekend we went to Jackson Hole for the annual Brendle trip. Ever since I joined the Brendle family almost 5 years ago (WOW) our family has been able to go. I absolutely LOVE going to Jackson Hole especially during October. The leaves are changing colors, it's usually a little bit colder, and it really helps to bring in the fall season. There was a first this year... Yep, here is a friendly reminder to my in-laws who read my blog... not only did I stay awake long enough to play Phase 10, and not only did I beat my husband in a game, but I WON!! We also took Bowen for the 1st time to look at the elk, or cows as he called them :) It was so fun to watch his reaction as Grandpa Brendle blew on his elk horn, and the elk bugled back to us. His mouth opened wide as he said, "OOOOHHHH WOW, IT'S A COW!!" He also loved looking out the binnoculars, don't know if he really saw anything, but it sure was cute! We saw lots of bull elk and we also saw some moose. We went into town to the candy store (my favorite YUM!), and we took Bowen around to the stores where there were an assortment of stuffed ginormous animals, he was very scared of the lions. We also got to watch a little bit of conference on Saturday. I loved being able to watch and listen to the big primary choir. I was watching/listening and feeding Kyler and not paying too much attention to Bowen and I hear him singing along to I AM A CHILD of GOD, (as best as a 2 year-old can) it was so cute, then when it was time for prayer, he folded his arms. I'm so grateful for the patience that the nursery teachers have for our little ones to help us to teach them all the things they do. Well it was a pretty good weekend minus my very unhappy 2 month old :( They really can tell when they are out of their normal environment. Can't wait until next year!

Kyler's Baby Blessing

Yesterday we had Kyler's baby blessing and it went so well. Tim did such a good job blessing our baby boy. I was so glad to have all of our family there, especially glad to have my mom and brothers and grandparents there so that they could feel the spirit, I hope they did. After the blessing we had a BBQ and the weather didn't really cooperate with our plans so we had to move things inside. My house isn't really big enough to accomodate 25 people but we made it work. I hope everyone had a good time, I thought it went great. Here are some pics from the day.

Nothing Better than Family

I've been very fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with family latlely!! I say fortunate because I have the best family in the world, others may argue but thats ok! The first to come and visit us was my dad from California I haven't seen him since May and it was very good to see him! Then the boys and I went with my dad to visit my sisters in Twin Falls and Boise. It was a lot of fun, but my sister and I learned what having two two-year olds and a 4 month old and a month old would be like. By the second day we were very glad to just have two children each :) We did lots of shopping and lots of eating and just spending time with each other, it was great! It's really hard to say goodbye to my dad when he has to leave, we all really miss him and he is so far away! It is the worst part of the visit.
The following week my sister Shelb from Boise and her two little ones, Dallas and Addisyn, came to visit and go to the fair while it was here. We also had our cousins and aunt from Las Vegas come to stay at my grandmas. Shelbey helped me out so much with the baby while still taking care of her own kids, she is amazing! It was like she would never sit down, even when kids were all fed and asleep she was then doing my dishes, or picking up toys! She has so much energy, I don't get it! No wonder she is so skinny :) I got to see my other sister Sarah too, not for very long but it was good to see her! I won't get to see my sissy's again until Halloween, hopefully the next month goes fast, I wish we lived closer so our kids could grow up together and play more often. I miss you already Shelb!! Here are some recent pics of our fun :)
