JACKSON HOLE 2008This weekend we went to Jackson Hole for the annual Brendle trip. Ever since I joined the Brendle family almost 5 years ago (WOW) our family has been able to go. I absolutely LOVE going to Jackson Hole especially during October. The leaves are changing colors, it's usually a little bit colder, and it really helps to bring in the fall season. There was a first this year... Yep, here is a friendly reminder to my in-laws who read my blog... not only did I stay awake long enough to play Phase 10, and not only did I beat my husband in a game, but I WON!! We also took Bowen for the 1st time to look at the elk, or cows as he called them :) It was so fun to watch his reaction as Grandpa Brendle blew on his elk horn, and the elk bugled back to us. His mouth opened wide as he said, "OOOOHHHH WOW, IT'S A COW!!" He also loved looking out the binnoculars, don't know if he really saw anything, but it sure was cute! We saw lots of bull elk and we also saw some moose. We went into town to the candy store (my favorite YUM!), and we took Bowen around to the stores where there were an assortment of stuffed ginormous animals, he was very scared of the lions.
We also got to watch a little bit of conference on Saturday. I loved being able to watch and listen to the big primary choir. I was watching/listening and feeding Kyler and not paying too much attention to Bowen and I hear him singing along to I AM A CHILD of GOD, (as best as a 2 year-old can) it was so cute, then when it was time for prayer, he folded his arms. I'm so grateful for the patience that the nursery teachers have for our little ones to help us to teach them all the things they do.
Well it was a pretty good weekend minus my very unhappy 2 month old :( They really can tell when they are out of their normal environment. Can't wait until next year!
