Who Are They?

I posted this picture on Facebook, and my father-in-law commented, "Who Are They?" So I thought I'd let everyone know who these young, skinny, sexy people are. This is Tim and I about 10 years ago. WOW!! He was 18 and I was 16, this was during my senior picture photo shoot, he would be leaving on his mission soon, and I wanted some good pictures of us. There are more, but my mom has them, I will have to steal them next time I'm home.
I was doing some deep cleaning and came across a box of old pictures, it was fun looking through them all and remembering all the phases of my life thus far, interestingly enough most of my life has involved Tim. High school- he was my Broncadette boy, he was my prom date, he showed me how to shoot a gun, he introduced me to the gospel, baptized me, he was my missionary ♥(whom I wrote to all the time, regardless of what he says).
So many fun times!! I love this phase the most though husband and wife, mom and dad, still best friends! He is the greatest! I think I 'm going to be posting more pics from the past, a little trip down memory lane. We may not look as great as we did back then, but we love each other more now, then I think we ever thought imaginable in those days. Here is to young love!!

Angry Birds

At Christmas I got a new phone, a smartphone :) I was pretty excited. One day I decided to download this game that I had heard about, you know just to see what all the fuss was about. I'm not a real big fan of video games, but can I tell you.... I am a big fan of Angry Birds! I don't know what it is about sling shotting those little birds at those buildings, trying to kill those ugly little pigs, but it intrigues me. Feeling like I have conquered some great mission as I pass each level, brings me a sense of joy. Can I tell you I'm not the only one in the family who has become fond of this little game?
Anyone else a fan??

First post of 2011... and it's almost the end of March

And not to mention I haven't posted anything on this blog since October 2010... I am lame. I need to be better, seems like time is just passing me by faster and faster. So much has happened since the last post, birthdays, holidays, more soccer, 1st family vacation and plane ride for my kids, our 7th anniversary :), and the most recent event registering Bowen for kindergarten. So I will be back tracking, but dang it I'm going to get it all on here, have to!!
So I guess first on the list would be Bowen and fall soccer. Oh he had so much fun, this was his 2nd season playing. Tim decided he would coach again, and loved it again, so much so that he is getting ready for his 3rd season as coach starting up again next month. Bowen did much better than his 1st season, he scored a lot more goals, and just looked forward to Saturday afternoons, GAME DAY. It was much better for me also because it was nicer weather which meant Kyler could actually go run around and climb the huge hill at Community Park. We had a lot of fans come and watch him play and I know he really loved it when others would come and watch him. He is such a fun kid! Here are some pics of him in action courtesy of his Grandma Jerri :)
Here's to being a better blogger!!

1st Family Vacation

For Christmas our gift to the boys and ourselves was a family vacation, a first for us. We decided the boys were old enough to go to Disneyland, WAHOOO!! I've been wanting to go back forever, the last time I went was on the California trip in 8th grade and that was true for Tim also. I was so excited for this trip to see the boys' little faces just light up when they saw Mickey, and Minnie, and Goofy, and all of the other characters. This was their first time on an airplane too and they did FANTASTIC!! Kyler slept, and Bowen just read some books and played with trains and looked out the window at the world below.
Our favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, we rode it at least 4 times while we were there. They did not like The Haunted Mansion. It was so fun, Kyler was able to ride nearly all the rides with us, and they were so well behaved for the most part. We didn't experience one meltdown at Disneyland, it really must be the happiest place on earth!!
If you didn't know I am a HUGE Ellen DeGegeneres fan, and I have been wanting to go to a taping of her show for the longest time! Little did I know Tim had connections to get us tickets. One of his coworkers is cousins to Andy's wife {yes the guy who wears the short shorts, and always brings things out to Ellen}. So he kept it a secret and for Christmas I had a gift beneath the tree all wrapped in"Ellen" paper, and there were the tickets, EEEEEK!!! I was very excited to say the least! We even got VIP tickets! My man is the BEST!
Unfortunately that was the only picture I got of my Ellen experience, you weren't allowed to take cameras past a certain point. I did get my Ellen hoodie as a souvenir. The show was great!
Another great part of our vacation was getting to spend a whole weekend with my dad. After spending the week in Anaheim we drove to California City. It was so good to get to spend time with him. We just enjoyed each other's company, we ate yummy meals prepared by my dad, watched movies, laughed so hard I cried, and even watched some old home movies.
Always hard to say goodbye though :(
The last part of our trip was spent at Seal Beach. We were on our way to the airport to come home and realized we had some time to kill. So we were excited to get to take the boys to see the ocean for the first time.
Since we were on our way to the airport we were dressed like we were going back home, probably the only ones at the beach in pants. Oh well we rolled up our pants and had the boys put their feet in the ocean, BBBRRRR! It was cold! They absolutely loved it though. Bowen's favorite part was watching the surfers.
We had so much fun and look forward to many more vacations with our boys.

Halloween 2010

Wow... I didn't even post anything about Halloween! We had a pretty fun Halloween, the kids actually went door to door and they did not want to stop, they had entirely too much candy, but I guess that is where mom and dad get to help out. Shelbey and her family were able to come down again and Bowen and Kyler got to go trick or treating with their cousins. Bowen was a snow leopard, or a TIGER as he called it, and Kyler was a the cutest little elephant ever! Dallas and Addie were brother and sister monkeys and were adorable!!

Family Pics 2010

We had my very talented sister-in-law take our pictures last fall, and they turned out so very cute!!! The kids are getting older so it was a little easier. I love the colors I picked, and loved the shirt I bought for Tim, but of course since it wasn't a work shirt, and it didn't say NIKE, he made me take it back. Wish he would let me dress him up a bit more, oh well love him anyway :) Here are our family pics from October 2010.
